November 2nd marks All Souls Day, a solemn day of prayer and remembrance for Catholics, and throughout the entire month of November, Catholics pray for the faithful departed with special devotion. With great affection we pray for the deceased members of our family and our friends; for all the members of the Church; and for all the dead who have no one else to remember them.
Through our prayers and sacrifices, may the faithful departed have their sins forgiven, be freed from the chains of Purgatory, and come to know the perfect peace and joy of the Kingdom of Heaven where they will abide with Jesus, with our Blessed Mother, and with all the angels and saints forever.
