Bishop Tobin Encourages Catholics to Pray the Rosary

I echo the words of Pope Francis and encourage Catholics in the Diocese of Providence to recite the Holy Rosary during the month of October. Let us take up this holy prayer in our parishes, schools and homes as we seek Mary’s grace and guidance in our daily lives. “In the decades of the Rosary, our heart can embrace all the events that make up the lives of individuals, families, nations, the Church and all mankind,” St. John Paul reminded us. Indeed, the Rosary has unfailingly consoled Catholics throughout the ages. May it be for us now, in our time, a source of consolation and peace.  (Bishop Thomas Tobin)
