2011 Diocesan World Youth Day Youth Awards & Scout Sunday
Sun., March 6, 2011 ~ 1:00 p.m., Cathedral of Saints Peter & Paul, Providence
•On Sunday, March 6, 2011, Bishop Thomas J. Tobin will celebrate the Diocese of Providence Youth Awards Celebration. The ceremony will begin with the 1:00 p.m. Mass in the Cathedral of Saints Peter & Paul, and will include Scout, Human Life Guild and National Youth Ministry Awards. This special day recognizes outstanding youth and adults who work with them and others.

Annual June & July Leadership Building Opportunities for Youth
YCLI 2011: The Youth Christian Leadership Institute is designed for young people between the ages of 15 to 19 (or at least entering 10th grade in the fall) who are now or who will be in parish, school, or diocesan leadership roles - parish youth groups, student council representatives, class officers, athletic team captains, etc. YCLI offers an opportunity for leadership development through this week-long intense period of learning and community living. CLIMB 2011: C.L.I.M.B. stands for the Christian Leadership Institute /Myers Briggs leadership training experience. It’s a fun and unique two-day leadership building experience for all high school aged youth (must be in grade 9 and over in the fall) through early college. Participants are guaranteed to obtain new personal insights and invaluable leadership tools. Leadership and team-building are key elements of this two-day experience.
