Faith Formation Classes
The Office of Religious Education now offers courses which can be taken by catechists who wish to become certified, adults interested in knowing more about the Catholic Faith, and those who may be returning back to the Faith and want to know more about the Scriptures. Courses will be offered both online and in live locations. Participants will be assigned to kindred groups (based on grade taught or adults seeking faith/spiritual enrichment). Course Descriptions
Story of Salvation: New Testament
Four weeks in duration approximately 10 hours in total for course:...read/work at your own pace.
This is an introductory course of The New Testament and reveals Christ has come as the fulfillment of God's plan of redemptive love. Explore the content and call of Jesus' teaching and message. Through the reading of the Acts of the Apostes discover the origins of the Church. Discover the call to discipleship by reading the Epistles and encounter the hopeful message of eternal life as revealed in the Book of Revelation.

Jesus: Word of the Father
Four Weeks in duration approximately 10 hours in total for course…read/work at your own pace.
Discover Jesus more deeply! Who is Jesus in the Story of Salvation, who is He to the Church and to you? In this introductory survey course, the participants will explore the rich meanings of Jesus: the Son of God, Christ, Lord, Savior and King-Messiah. Reflect prayerfully on the Pascal Mystery and enter more deeply into a few of the titles which Catholics pray in the Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Story of Salvation: Old Testament
Six Weeks in duration approximately 14 hours in total for course…read/work at your own pace.
This is an introductory survey course on the story of Salvation History in the Old Testament. Recognize the unfolding of God’s plan of salvation as revealed through Creation, the key persons, prophets, kings and wisdom figures of the Old Testament.

Sacraments: The Masterworks of God
Four Weeks in duration approximately 10 hours in total for course…read/work at your own pace.
This introductory course will give an overview of the “masterworks of God” which are the seven Sacraments. Participants will learn how the Sacraments, instituted by Christ, manifest and communicate the mystery of communion with God who is love. Recognize how you enter into living communion with Christ and his Church through the Sacraments which are “ever-living and life-giving.” Special attention will be given to the Sacraments of Initiation and the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
